We're sorry to see you go. This page explains how to delete your Shaatika account and what happens to your data when you do.
How to Delete Your Account
Option 1: Delete from the App
Open the Shaatika app and go to your Profile tab.
Tap on Settings (gear icon).
Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
You will be asked to confirm your decision. Tap Yes, Delete My Account.
Your account and data will be scheduled for deletion.
Option 2: Request Deletion via Email
If you are unable to access the app, you can request account deletion by sending an email to us. Please include the phone number associated with your Shaatika account so we can verify your identity.
We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email once complete.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure you want to proceed before requesting deletion.
When your account is deleted, the following data will be permanently removed within 30 days:
Account Information: Your phone number, name, and profile details.
Saved Addresses: All delivery addresses linked to your account.
Wishlist: All saved/wishlisted sarees.
Browsing History: Your search and browse history on the platform.
For Seller accounts, additionally:
Store Profile: Your shop name, description, photos, and public store link will be removed.
Catalog: All saree listings, including photos, videos, and descriptions will be permanently deleted.
Bank/Payout Details: Your linked bank account or UPI information will be removed from our systems and from Razorpay.
Data We May Retain
Certain data may be retained even after account deletion, as required by Indian law and regulatory obligations:
Transaction Records: Order history and payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for tax, accounting, and legal compliance purposes. This data is kept in anonymized or pseudonymized form where possible.
Dispute Records: If there are unresolved disputes, returns, or chargebacks associated with your account, relevant records will be retained until the matter is fully resolved.
Legal Obligations: Any data required to be retained under applicable Indian laws (including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and related rules).
Before You Delete
Please note the following before proceeding:
If you have any active or pending orders (as a Buyer or Seller), please wait until they are completed, delivered, and settled before requesting account deletion.
If you are a Seller with pending payouts, please wait until all payouts are settled to your bank account before requesting deletion.
Once deleted, you will not be able to recover your account, catalog, or order history.
You can always create a new account with the same phone number in the future, but none of your previous data will be restored.
